Once again another fine race season has come and gone and with Jack Frost nipping at our ears the warm memories of summer are all that remain of the 2003 race season. The Osborn/Mock Race Team would like to take this opportunity to Thank everyone who helped out in 2003. Whether you were there to lend a hand or to just cheer us on your help and support was greatly appreciated. All the help and support behind the team propelled it to another successful season.

The Osborn/Mock Racing Team ended the season on an outstanding note. Driver of the Osborn and Son Trucking number 1m made an outstanding come back from a terrible crash which sidelined him for several weeks to finish an impressive 7th in The Interstate Racing Association point standings. Mike Kertscher driver of the Osborn and Son Trucking number 80K capped off an outstanding rookie season. Mike finished the season off by capturing the Rookie of The Year title and by nailing down a solid 5th place finish in the overall point standings.

Osborn/Mock Team Renews Contracts. Focus on 2004!
Fond du Lac, WI (Nov 5, 2003): Osborn/Mock Racing is proud to announce that both Kim Mock and Mike Kertscher have each signed new, long-term contracts which will keep the team intact for the next several seasons. In a telephone interview, Kim Mock stated that he was glad that this was finished up early so that the team could focus on the job at hand, preparations for another run at the 2004 Bumper to Bumper IRA title. The 2-time IRA Champion was excited about the team's prospects for the upcoming season and is ready to put last season's heartbreak behind him. Mock, who lead the series points until an accident during the Knoxville Nationals sidelined him for over a month, is eager to get back to business and prove to everyone that "Kim Mock is back". As for his partnership with Mike Kertscher, "I couldn't be happier!" stated Mock. "Mike has already proven that he is a very talented and capable driver and together we can set our team's standards high enough to keep each other fresh." Kertscher, who claimed his title as the IRA's 2003 "Rookie of the Year" also visited victory lane in his rookie season at the Wilmot Speedway.
The team will be updating their arsenal of Maxim Chassis and WESMAR engines and will once again be on Hoosier tires. In addition to chasing the Bumper to Bumper IRA points title, the team will be very active in support of the O'Rilley World of Outlaws events in the region as well as selected special events as their schedule allows. Kertscher National Rookie of The Year Candidate
IRAs' Mike Kertscher is one of 4 candidates in the country nominated for the NATIONAL 410 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year. The select 40-member voting panel, representing media members, manufacturers, promoters and sanctioning officials, is currently in the final balloting process, and the names of the award recipients will be revealed by co-emcees Dave Argabright and Pat Sullivan at the National Sprint Car Poll awards reception. The award banquet is put on by The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and will be held in conjunction with the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, with the reception taking place Thursday December 4th at the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis Indiana.
